The People's Market

Artists. Makers. Culture Creators.

West Philly Bizarre supports hyperlocal entrepreneurs through market and economic opportunities.

We create equitable and just economic and arts opportunities for underserved communities.

By offering free and low-cost vendor markets, we reduce the financial barriers that often keep people out of entrepreneurship and provide a vital platform for income generation.

About Us

West Philly Bizarre is a vendor market and culture creator providing low-cost and free artistic and economic opportunities to West Philadelphia’s underserved and marginalized communities.

Founded in 2024, we ensure equitable entry points for micro-entrepreneurs into the formal economy that would otherwise be unavailable due to cost, location, and/or permits. In our first season, we secured twenty-six market dates in Clark Park through official channels, turning a long-running but endangered informal market into a viable and sustainable organization.

Our vendors are primarily black, LGBTQ+, and/or low-income people living in West Philadelphia. It is our mission to prioritize and uplift these people, and other historically marginalized community members, by creating economic opportunities and incredible cultural experiences.
